About This Tournament

SWSC Spring Madness Cup 2026 is a US Club sanctioned tournament open to teams affiliated with USYSA, US Club Soccer, Super Y League, AYSO, and FIFA affiliated youth soccer associations.

Each team is guaranteed three (3) games.

Awards

  • Medals for 1st and 2nd place teams
  • Trophies for 1st place teams

B/G U7–U10 - $975

B/G U11–U13 - $1,075

B/G U14–U19 - $1,175

Referee Fees

Referee fee is $50 per team, per game.

Game Format

  • U7–U10: 7v7
  • U11–U12: 9v9
  • U13–U19: 11v11

Registration Information

  1. GotSoccer will provide all tournament application and registration software
  2. Teams are required to make a payment online during the registration.
  3. Refunds will be made to all teams not accepted.
  4. If the tournament is canceled due to weather or Acts of God, the date of the tournament will be rescheduled for a later date and all the accepted SWSC Spring Madness Showcase 2026 teams will be playing at the alternative date chosen or invited to play during one of the future SWSC Tournament. No refunds will be granted for the accepted teams.
  5. No refunds will be granted for accepted teams
  6. Team selections are made based upon an evaluation of their record. USYS National Cup State and Regional results, as well as, results from major tournaments, league results and overall record will be used to break ties.
  7. Applications will be accepted from teams affiliated with USYSA, US Club Soccer, Super Y League, AYSO, and FIFA affiliated youth soccer associations outside of the United States.
  8. Teams must declare their affiliation on the application form. Once declared, teams will not be allowed to participate if using documentation other than from the declared affiliation.
  9. Hotel Requirements: Teams using hotel rooms are required to obtain them from our approved hotels.
  10. 2025/2026 player identification cards and shin guards are required for each player. For USYS teams not affiliated with Cal South, travel papers approved by your state association are required; for US Club, AYSO, or Super Y League teams, approved team rosters must be presented. For International entrants, written permission to travel will be required from your governing body. For all teams, medical release forms are required.
  11. Every attempt will be made to adjust game schedules to accommodate individual teams or individual coaching conflicts if the Tournament Director is notified once a team is accepted.

Roster Rules

Unlimited borrowed players will be allowed.

Roster size:
U7–U12: 14 players
U13–U19: 22 players

Tournament Rules

This is a US Club Soccer sanctioned tournament.

The current FIFA Laws of the Game will govern all games, as amended by US Club Soccer bylaws, rules, regulations, and these competition rules.

The Tournament Committee has the authority to rule on any matter pertaining to this competition.

All Tournament Committee decisions and referee decisions are final and are not subject to protest.

Referee judgment calls, as defined by FIFA Laws of the Game, are not eligible for protest.

Team administrators, coaches, players, and spectators are expected to follow all tournament rules and conduct themselves appropriately.

Team administrators are responsible for the behavior of their players, parents, and sidelines.

Only licensed coaches are allowed on the sidelines during games.

Shin guards are mandatory during tournament play.

Home Team Responsibilities

The home team is listed first on the schedule.

The home team must change jerseys if the referee determines there is a color conflict.

The home team must provide the game ball or game balls.

Substitutions

Substitutions may be made, with the consent of the referee, at any stoppage in play.

It is no longer mandatory to substitute a cautioned yellow-carded player.

Forfeits and No-Shows

A team may forfeit if:

The team does not show up.
The team does not have the minimum number of players required.
The team is not ready to play within 15 minutes of the scheduled start time.

Forfeited games do not count as games played for purposes of red card ejection suspensions.

Weather, Field Conditions, and Terminated Games

Games terminated after the start of the second half of official playing time, after the ball has been put into play, due to inclement weather, field conditions, or referee judgment, will be considered complete games.

This rule does not apply to playoff or championship games.

Game Cards and Score Reporting

Game cards must be picked up by a team administrator at Tournament Headquarters approximately one hour prior to each game.

After each game, please collect the game card from the referee and report your score.

Scores may be reported in one of two ways:

Option 1: Scan the QR code at the top right of your match card. Enter PIN: 1234 and follow the steps to report the score and any violations.

Option 2: Send a picture of the entire match report to 951-760-9914. Please make sure the team name and age group are visible in the picture.

Game cards are kept by the team manager or coach for the duration of the tournament.

Scoring

Win: 6 points
Tie: 3 points
Loss: 0 points
Goals: 1 point per goal, up to 3 goals
Shutout: 1 point
Red Card: 1 point deducted from the team’s score for that game for each red card received

Tie-Breakers

Tie-breakers will be applied in the following order:

  1. Head-to-head competition
  2. Goal differential, maximum +4 per game
  3. Least goals allowed
  4. Most goals scored
  5. Most total wins
  6. Shutouts
  7. FIFA penalty kicks

Red Cards and Misconduct

Any individual receiving a red card will be suspended for the remainder of the current game and the next scheduled game.

If a coach is ejected, the coach must leave the site immediately. The game may be suspended until the coach leaves the site.

All red cards and misconduct incidents may be reported to the appropriate governing bodies.

Hotel Requirements

We have partnered with TRAVELING TEAMS® to secure discounted room blocks at a variety of tournament approved hotels close to our venues. This is a Stay to Play event. It is required that all teams traveling to this event reserve their hotel accommodations through TRAVELING TEAMS®.
