NEED A PLACE TO STAY?

SWSC Christmas Youth Super Cup is a stay-to-play event requiring teams and families to book their lodging through the designated housing provider TRAVELING TEAMS™. 

TRAVELING TEAMS™ has contracted accommodations on behalf of the SWSC Christmas Youth Super Cup, and its traveling teams, to ensure teams have accommodations near the tournament location at the lowest possible rate. Through the TRAVELING TEAMS™ online booking platform, teams can create a complimentary room block for families to make individual reservations at the lowest guaranteed group rate.

Teams traveling more than 80 miles for the event are required to book at least 7 rooms per team by families and friends. The traveling distance is determined from the submitted address at the time of registration for the team. Any teams that do not meet the minimum booked hotel rooms may be declared ineligible from competing in the tournament. 

Once your team registers for the SWSC Christmas Youth Super Cup, you will automatically receive lodging information from TRAVELING TEAMS™. You are also welcome to create a block or reservations prior to receiving the lodging information - the booking link has been provided below. Teams are able to request a stay-to-play exemption more than 15 days prior to the event by emailing the Event Organizers.

ABOUT THIS TOURNAMENT

Unlimited borrowed players will be allowed. Maximum roster size is 22 players (14 for under 7-12). Top quality awards will be presented to teams finishing in 1st and 2nd place.

This tournament is a US Club sanctioned tournament open to USYSA, Super Y League, AYSO,  FIFA affiliated teams.

Game Length (Pool Play, Quarter-Final, Semi-Final, Consolation Games):

Game Length (Pool Play, Quarter-Final, Semi-Final, Consolation Games):

  • U7 - U8 Division will play Two (2) 25-minute halves and play 7 vs 7
  • U9 - U10 Divisions will play two (2) 25-minute halves
  • U11 - U12 Divisions will play Two (2) 30-minute halves
  • U13 - U14 Divisions will play Two (2) 30-minute halves
  • U15  Division will play Two (2) 35-minute halves 
  • Game Length for Championship Games will be a regulation length.
  • Overtime: 
    Pool Play games can end in a tie. All Semi-Final and/or Consolation games will proceed directly to FIFA PK’s if teams are tied at the end of regulation play. 
    For Championship games that end in a tie at the end of regulation play. Two (2) five (5) minute overtime periods will be added. If the teams are still tied at the end of overtime, then they will proceed directly to FIFA PK’s
 

 

Registration Information:

  1. GotSoccer will provide all tournament application and registration software
  2. PayPal - Once accepted to the tournament, you will receive an email with payment instructions to pay via credit card through PayPal. You DO NOT need a PayPal account to pay online.
  3. Refunds will be made to all teams not accepted.
  4. If the tournament is canceled due to weather or Acts of God, the date of the tournament will be rescheduled for a later date and all the accepted SWSC Christmas Youth SuperStars CUP 2025 teams will be playing at the alternative date chosen or invited to play during SWSC Spring Madness Showcase 2026. No refunds will be granted for the accepted teams.

  6. Team selections are made based upon an evaluation of their record. USYS National Cup State and Regional results, as well as, results from major tournaments, league results and overall record will be used to break ties.
  7. Applications will be accepted from teams affiliated with USYSA, US Club Soccer, Super Y League, AYSO, and FIFA affiliated youth soccer associations outside of the United States.
  8. Teams must declare their affiliation on the application form. Once declared, teams will not be allowed to participate if using documentation other than from the declared affiliation.
  9. Hotel Requirements: Teams using hotel rooms are required to obtain them from our approved hotels.
  10. 2025/2026 player identification cards, medical release forms, and shin guards are required for each player. For USYS teams not affiliated with Cal South, travel papers approved by your state association are required; for US Club, AYSO, or Super Y League teams, approved team rosters must be presented. For International entrants, written permission to travel will be required from your governing body. For all teams, medical release forms are required.
  11. Every attempt will be made to adjust game schedules to accommodate individual teams or individual coaching conflicts if the Tournament Director is notified once a team is accepted.

Rules for the SWSC Christmas Youth SuperStars Cup 2025:

  1. This tournament is US Club Sanctioned tournament.
  2. This is a Class I Tournament open to USYSA, US Club Soccer, Super Y League, AYSO, and FIFA affiliated teams.
  3. Each team is guaranteed three (3) games.
  4. Unlimited borrowed players will be allowed.
  5. Maximum roster size is 22 players (14 for under 7-12). Top quality trophies as well as individual awards will be presented to teams finishing in 1st and 2nd place 
  6. The current FIFA Laws of the Game will govern all games as amended by US Club Bylaws, Rules and Regulations, and these competition rules.
  7. The Tournament Committee shall have the authority to rule on any matter pertaining to this competition. The decisions of the Tournament Committee and Referees are final and are not subject to protest.
  8. All Administrators of a team will be held responsible the actions of their players, parents, sidelines, and for submission of documents as required for all check-ins. The Tournament Committee will not hear any pleas from parents, guardians, or representatives of players with improper documents.
  9. We accept physical and/or virtual player and admin cards.
  10. Only licensed Coaches are allowed to be on the sidelines during the game.
  11. Referee judgment calls as defined by FIFA Laws of the Game are not eligible for protest.
  12. All games and tournament Committee decisions are final and not subject to Protest.
  13. The home team is listed first on the schedule,  shall change Jerseys if the Referee decides that there is a color conflict, and shall supply the game ball(s).
  14. Shin guards are MANDATORY during tournament play.

Games:

  • In the event of a no show, the team does not have a minimum of seven players, or is not ready to play within 15 minutes of the games scheduled start time; the team that is late will forfeit the game.
  • Forfeited games do not count for games played with regards to a Red Card Ejection.
  • Games that are terminated after the start of the second (2nd) half of the official playing time (after the ball has been put into play), due to inclement weather/field conditions, or on the referee’s judgment shall be considered a complete game. The score shall not apply to play-off or championship games.

Game Cards:

  • Game Cards must be picked up by a team administrator at Tournament Headquarters approximately one hour prior to each game.
  • After each scheduled game, please collect the Game Card from the referee and report your scores. We have two options to do that: 

                 OPTION 1: Scan QR Code at the top right of your Match Card. Enter Pin: 1234 and follow the steps to report your scores and violations, if any (just like during the league play)

                 OPTION 2: Send a picture of the entire match report (please make sure that the Team Name and the Age Group are visible on the picture) to 951-760-9914. 

  • The Game Cards are kept by the team manager or the coach for the entire duration of the tournament.

Scoring:

  • 6 Points for a Win
  • 3  Point for a Tie
  • 0 Points for a Loss
  • 1 point for each goal up to 3 
  • one point for the shutout 
  • 1  point will be deducted from a team’s score for that game for every Red Card received. 
    Red Cards/Misconduct: 
    One (1) point per red card shall be deducted at the end of each game for Player/Coach's receiving red cards.
    Any individual receiving a Red Card other than for Violent Conduct will be suspended for the remainder of that game and the next game. 
    Any individual receiving a Red Card for Violent Conduct will be suspended for the remainder of that game and the next two (2) games. 
    If a coach is ejected, then the game can be suspended until the coach leaves the site. Any Coach or Administrator whose is ejected must remain away from the immediate area for the next scheduled game also. All Red Cards are reported to US Club and the team’s home association.

Tie Breakers:

  • The winner in head-to-head competition,
  • Goal differential (goals scored minus goals allowed to a max. of 4 per game)
  • Least goals allowed
  • Most goals scored
  • Most total wins 
  • Shutout wins (forfeits not counting)
  • FIFA kicks from the penalty mark

Substitutions:

  • Substitutions may be made, with the consent of the referee, at any stoppage in play.
  • It is no longer mandatory to Substitute a Cautioned (Yellow Carded) player.
